Hoopwalk
We went for a walk with an old walking organization yesterday. We wandered in and out of the event of the weekend, and crossed our favorite river a few times.
Stopping for refreshment in the shade is always a good idea on a hot day.
Hoops anyone?

The end of another era. . .
Mama did not take it away, but it is still going away. I have not supported this product since before 2001 when I purchased my first digital camera for a vacation. I never turned back. I am using a Nikon Camera now, but I make my slideshows another way.

Give a boy a camera. . .
I never know what I will find when I put his camera card in my computer to allow him to take more pictures. There was a whole series on these two snails from our backyard.
While everyone else is looking at the water gushing over the falls, he finds this interesting combination of textures by the side.
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
Another camera, another view

On the way to the pool this morning and a few other notes
For my weedy siblings, here are my signs from the past. Such a fine town that is too.
I must have been passing through before sunset that time.
On hot days, the carpet is not as nice as the linoleum.
Gift for a new graduate.
This morning my phone rang while I was riding to the pool at 4:47. It is never a good thing when the phone rings at that hour, and especially not when it rings at that hour when I am riding up a hill. It turns out it was my friend who did the triathlon with me on Sunday. She had just picked up a message that our swim class had a substitute this morning and we would be starting at 6:00 instead of 5:30. She hoped she caught me before I left home. No such luck. It was a pretty morning. Here is a sample of the predawn sky.
I took the opportunity to wander downtown on my bike before the sun and the crowds arrived. The sun is rising over Gonzaga and the Kardong Bridge.
The sun also rises over the falls. We might walk by this spot tonight between dinner and graduation.
