Deep Creek Canyon
Saturday was a beautiful day. My daughter came home from college for the weekend and brought a friend with her. The temperature was what passes for warm around here this time of year, so we took a hike. We tried a trail that started out as a trail and rapidly became a creek bed to follow.
We hiked over things.
We hiked under things.
There is a reason why someone left puddles along the way, so we could hike through things.
Most of the trail did not look like a trail at all, but once in the canyon, there was only one way forward.
Really it is a trail, look here is a trail marker. It looks like sometimes the water flows around the base of the post.
Bare aspens.
The marker showed us a trail to climb out of the canyon. I was moving faster than the rest of the group, because I brought my power assist dog along with me to keep me from slowing down.
A good time was had by all, even the boy who was off skiing with friends.
