Merry Christmas
Yesterday, we spent a quiet day at home unwrapping a few things early in the morning.
Something a boy always wanted.

Visiting family
Yesterday, before settling in to watch the Nutcracker, while it was still light, we visited our friends at Rusty Cock Ridge, where we found fun ways to flip hair.
We found a new way to fly.
Rumor has it that days will be growing longer now, so we can fit more in while the sun shines.

Family camp
Friday night we played on the slide. My girl is in the far left lane.
Why let little brother play when she can block his way?
Saturday morning, the vertical playground opened. The first step was to dress for the occasion with an orange hat and a safety harness.
Properly secured, he started up the swinging cactus pole .
This is the whole tower. My little one is somewhere amid the tires.
There is his smiling face, working his way through the tires.
This young lady made it to the top on her second attempt. She is standing on the obstacle that stopped her the first time.
That bar he is leaning on is actually a swing, suspended from each end, but able to move around when he tries to mount it. If only he were tall enough, he could just reach up and grab the cargo net.
After he figured out the swing, he started up the cargo net, only to wonder how to find his way into the chimney.
