More vacation
Time at home passes faster and slower than time on vacation. I thought I was keeping up with things, but I see I forgot to put up more of my first vacation. We went to see President Obama's house, because it is just the thing to do when in DC. Unfortunately, we did not see the inside, because everyone else was doing that, so they ran out of tickets.
We did take time to see the elephant at the Museum of Natural History.
We were most fascinated by the rocks there. Lots of rocks.
Hope was there, but it was difficult to focus through the glass while holding a wiggly child.
We took a break and had a snack in the sculpture garden. I don't think anyone lives in this house, but it is a fun one.
Dr. Seuss is missing a tree.
This could only come from an artist who has spent too much time looking at a blank screen.
Walking back to the car, we took a tour of the mall. Everywhere we went, we could see this pointy thing. Everyone else was touring it too, so we just looked from the outside.
We found the carousel, which accelerated our pace then slowed it down.
Why ride a horse when there is a dragon available?

One vacation interupts another. . .
While in DC, it is good to skate with the Capitals, or at least where they skate, because everyone likes a team named for a good investment, or a large letter rather than the place where they skate: our nation's Capitol.
After skating, we watch what goes by. . . a cousin,
a sister,
and the Zamboni.
Somewhere near the skating rink is a mall with lunch for good little boys.
